The Great Million-User Giveaway
MailChimp is about to hit a pretty special milestone—we’re fast approaching our millionth user. This calls for a celebration, and since we always celebrate by giving away free stuff, we’re really going over the top for this one.
When we hit a million, we’ll give away 1,000 plushies, 2,000 chimp hats (the chimp hats for humans, not to be confused with the the chimp hats for cats or our Pyow-cat-shaped hats for humans and dogs) and 10,000 shirts. If history is a guide, they’re going to disappear in no time.

I don’t see no countdown timer! Just a big black box. Is it one of those fancy visual countdown timers where instead of numbers, the black slowly fades to white or something? :) I’m in Windows 7 and checked it using Chrome and IE9. Yes, that’s right MailChimp, you made me revert to IE! :P

Hey, my daughter started a non profit called Sade’s Wish and she is helping chronically ill kids. One of her programs is Buddy Bags where kids who are in and out of the hospital get a bag filled with items that help them in their stay better. The first set of bags is going to the Cancer Outpatient clinic and the hats would be great. If you could donate 50 of them that would be wonderful. Jst asking.

You can embed emails in your videos, but very few email applications will actually display them properly. You have to place a screengrab of a keyframe, and link over to your video. Sorry, it’s possible the non-chimp delivery human lost or stole it. That is the problem with human-powered delivery systems. We had tens of thousands of shirts delivered all over the world, but we also had a few people complain (ironically, most in the US) that they never got theirs.
