We launched our first HootSuite integration in April 2012. Since then, we’ve gotten some great feedback from the 15,000+ businesses that use it. Today, we’re excited to launch a completely new and improved integration that lets you easily search your MailChimp list from within your Twitter or Facebook streams in HootSuite. Now, if you come across a post and want to see if that fan or follower is subscribed to your MailChimp list, all you have to do is hover over their avatar and select Search MailChimp Subscribers.
This will automatically search your lists by the name associated with the user’s account, but you can edit the search however you’d like.
If they ‘re a subscriber, you can view their basic subscriber info and even add notes to their profile. Plus, those notes are searchable from inside your MailChimp account (and from your MailChimp mobile app or VIP subscribers app). Now you’ll never forget that one of your biggest supporters, @accounting_dan, is a huge fan of The Blob (and its star, Steve McQueen), and regularly attends BlobFest.
The new integration also offers a Campaigns Stream and a Lists Stream which make it easy to share your campaigns, monitor campaign performance, and keep an eye on list growth. With that kind of information at your fingertips, you can coordinate social campaigns that complement your email marketing efforts.
Just add the Campaigns Stream to view a list of your MailChimp campaigns.
You can easily share your campaign across any of your social networks. MailChimp automatically populates your tweet or post with the subject line of your email campaign and an ow.ly link to your campaign archive.
You can also view reports for campaigns that have already been sent. Just click the campaign name to view more detailed reporting.
Add the Lists Stream to view your MailChimp lists.
Click on any individual list to get an overview of the stats for that list.
Don’t fret if you’re currently using our existing integration for HootSuite—you’ll be automatically switched onto the new version. All you’ll have to do is re-authenticate your streams in your HootSuite dashboard. If you’re not currently using the integration and want to give it a try, you’ll find it in the HootSuite App store inside your HootSuite account.
