Email Design Inspiration

I can hardly believe it myself, but apparently it’s November—and that means it’s time to get your holiday email marketing plan in order.

We recently surveyed 1,067 of MailChimp’s e-commerce and retail customers about their holiday email marketing plans, and it’s no surprise that 100% of them said they’re going to use email to encourage sales. But we also know there are some folks out there who might need a little encouragement: 106,457 MailChimp users haven’t sent a campaign since last holiday season, and 2.3 million new users have signed up and registered in 2014 alone.

There are lots of important factors to consider when you’re sending holiday emails, but today let’s talk design. Whether you’re new to MailChimp or just looking to freshen up your email design, here are some of my favorite sources of inspiration.

Look What You Can Do


Our users send beautifully designed campaigns, and we often find ourselves sharing the prettiest ones that pop up in our inboxes. We started collecting our favorites on our Inspiration Page a few years ago, and it now includes more than 450 examples of stellar campaigns sent through MailChimp. Many of the folks we’ve featured have told me they’ve referenced the page when working on their own email designs.
