Whenever I spot something new in an email newsletter design, I feel like it’s my duty to post it here. Like a researcher studying monkeys out in the wild or something.
Here’s something I’ve never seen before:
Check out that "2 minute approximate reading time" at the top of the email. I’m not saying I think it’s good or bad. I’ve just never seen anything like that. Can’t stop staring at it. I wonder if it makes busy people stop to read.
Kudos for the link in the header to view the online version of the email (more examples), and also the "explanatory text" reminding me that I did indeed subscribe for these emails a long time ago (helps prevent spam complaints from habitual—and forgetful—subscribers, like me).
