If you or your business is looking to take your email campaigns International (we sure are trying!), there’s a good chance you are going to need to do that in a different language. Accordingly, MailChimp has a new integration with Straker Translations. This semi-automated translation service lets you translate your campaigns into pretty much any language you could want (they do over 140).
The Startup’s Toolkit

Mashable posted the results of a survey of startup staffers by BestVendor, a company that helps startups and small businesses make purchases based on social recommendations. MailChimp was the clear winner in the email marketing category.
We love startups, and we’re happy our Forever Free plan makes it possible for companies with small budgets to send great looking emails.
MailChimp Site Redesign
Posted by Mark on
As you can see, we’ve been doing some work around here. What started as a simple update to the look of the site turned into a full blown redesign complete with corresponding updates to the app, and we’re pretty happy with the result. Also, despite rumors to the contrary, Freddie is alive and well, and he’s more handsome than ever on our new colors. We’ll post more about the design process and all the bells and whistles we added behind the scenes, but for now, have a look around and enjoy the new site.
New RSS Feature: Most recent articles
Posted by Ben on
If you’re using MailChimp’s new RSS-to-Email feature to send automatic emails to your list whenever you update your blog, we’ve got a new merge tag you might want to include in your content:
*|RSS:RECENT|*
This will tell MailChimp to insert links to your 5 most recently published articles from your blog.
If you want, you can hack that merge tag a little bit like this:
*|RSS:RECENT10|*
to insert links to the 10 most recent articles instead.
MailChimp Subscriber Chiclet
Posted by Ben on
We’ve created a little “chiclet” that you can add to your website that shows off how many subscribers you have on your list (actually, there are 4 different chiclet designs to choose from).
Just add a little snippet of JavaScript code to your web page, and we’ll display an automatically updating count of your subscribers.
