In this month’s v7.3 release, we’ve added a handful of new mobile-friendly templates into our template library.
Before we get to the templates themselves, I should point out a little feature that’s been implemented into the app:
That little flag above will make it easy to find newly-added templates at a glance, something which you’ve all been clamoring for. No more searching around trying to figure out what’s new. The flag will also make mobile-friendly templates easy to find.
Moving on. The new templates can be found in the ‘newsletters’, ‘restaurant’, and ‘holiday’ categories. In ‘newsletters’, you’ll find two new template styles named “Reader” and “Titlebar Newsletter” (thinking up new names is difficult), and you’ll also see that the “Elegant Newsletter” template style has been converted to support mobile devices.
The “Reader” template has a Readability-inspired design, built specifically to handle larger amounts of text and keep it all readable on any screen:
The “Titlebar Newsletter” template is more like a run-of-the-mill newsletter template, but its colorful headings help your readers keep your content straight when the email is viewed on a mobile device:
The “Elegant Newsletter” template is a popular style, so it was converted to work well on small screens:
In the ‘restaurant’ category, we’ve converted the “Frosty Head Pub” template to work on mobile devices. The discrete content blocks, with their multi-colored headings work well on a small screen:
Finally, with the United States’ Independence Day coming up in a couple of days, there’s the “4th of July Banners” template under the ’4th of July’ subcategory in the ‘holiday’ category:
All of the template styles mentioned above come in three layout flavors, providing a lot of different ways to structure your content. Keep your eyes open for more mobile-friendly templates next month. In the meantime, you can spend your time cringing in abject horror. Hope you “enjoy having fun”.
