Brent at 3by400 has developed an updated MailChimp/Joomla module for Joomla 1.5 (the current version). You can download it from the MailChimp Plugins page.
Thanks, Brent! Some MailChimp swag is on its way.
BTW, if you’re using a CMS in conjunction with MailChimp, be sure to check out this tutorial on importing campaigns via URL. You can setup your CMS to publish news on your site, then tell MailChimp to create email newsletter versions. You can even use MailChimp tags to hide certain email-specific code (like unsub links, email CSS, etc) from the browser, but make it display in email apps.
This sounds like a fantastic option, but does it take your design as well or just the content?

This is an excellent app for my Joomla site – cheers chimpy!
Great module, thanks, we are using it
Great plugin, been using for a while now with no hiccups, we have added two interest groups to the list and enabled to show interest groups in the plugin but it only displays one on the site for some reason.

Why am I receiving an “extract error” when I try to install the joomla mailchimp module “mod_mailchimp2.xml”. I am using Joomla! 1.0.15 Stable. I am going to Installers…modules…upload package file.
Tried to use this on a new site I am building, but got a fatal error message and have had no response from 3by400 in over 2 weeks. Unfortunately will have to uninstall. A pity because the description appears to suggest it is exactly what I needed.
There’s another very full-featured Joomla integration at: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/content-sharing/mailing-a-newsletter-bridges/13602
We haven’t promoted it yet, because I believe it’s going through a name change. But we hear it’s extremely well done.
Srtrangely, I turned that one up about 5 minutes after posting. It does look good but I haven’t found how to put a link on my web site yet. It integrates the campaign side brilliantly so far as I can tell from my limited run through.
Does the mail chimp module for joomla allow for front end editing of mail campaigns?
People using this plugin have started to recieve an email entitled API login() Shutdown Notice #1 from Mailchimp so I would recommend not using it anymore and if you are you need to find a replacement ASAP
Hi, We have the joomla 1.6 version, are you planning to develop this upgrade in the mailchimp plugin?
Many thanks
