For example, I usually work really hard on my HTML email first. Then, when I think I'm totally done, I go push the button to generate our plain-text email. I'm usually 90% happy with it, but I always make some minor edits to plain-text. Then, I send some tests, and find errors and typos, or I think of more content to place into my HTML email. After that, I wouldn't want MailChimp to auto-create my plain-text. It would delete all my previous hand-formatting. At this point, I prefer to manually tweak my plain-text.
