In MailChimp v3.3 (launching October 13) you can add this merge tag to your MailChimp campaigns:
*|TRANSLATE:XX|*
(where the “XX” is your language)
and we’ll insert links so that your subscribers can view translated versions of your email.
For example, if you send a MailChimp campaign in Spanish, and then insert this tag in your side column:
*|TRANSLATE:ES|*
MailChimp will insert a column of links to different Google-translated versions of your campaign archive (click to zoom in on the example to the right).

I tried creating a divider tag (div id=”translate” mc:edit=”translate”) in order to add a Translate section to the side bar of the “Rounded Newsletter” template. This was not recognized by MailChimp’s CSS, and instead, it formatted the text with the default text for a divided section. How can I more smoothly incorporate the *|TRANSLATE:ES|* merge tag into the side column? Could someone please set it up to receive the same format as “id=contact”, “id=share”, etc.? Thank you in advance.
The issue that I described above no longer exists. It seems that someone has corrected this in the background. Either that, or I was mistaken all along!
