You can make some really stunning HTML email templates with MailChimp’s built-in template designer. And we just updated it with some new header graphics (including Valentines Day and Football), new categories, and new CSS color palettes. Here’s a quick sneak-peek:
I love MailChimp and enjoy watching the presentations. What screen capture software do you use to make them?

Hi Michael, we use Screenflow by Vara Software. And we’re about to go bananas with video demos, when we launch the MailChimp Training Academy.

Nice addition, have always wondered about the categories though – will colleges, soccer and general be getting any updates? thanks
@Simon – Absolutely they’ll get some updates. Just added several more CSS color palettes to “General.” If you have ideas for more color categories, please submit.
mailchimp kicks major butt. keep the videos coming.
Ben, here are some category ideas off the top of my head: “Seasons”, “Moods”, “Countries”, “Nature”, “Foods”, “Corporate”, “Arts”.
Thanks, Nathan. You’re talking about images, right? Not color palettes?
I’ve got a ton of Food ones, waiting to be processed. Nature’s a nice idea.
Lots to work with. Thanks!
Hey, I love MailChimp, but the images in the templates don’t quite line up with my needs. How about some colorful abstract/grunge headers aimed towards a young adult audience? That would be awesome!
@Jake – Will keep that in mind for the next round. FYI, you can probably get a great header graphic like that from iStockphoto.com for $1 – $3. Upload it to MailChimp, and use our Picnik integration to edit:

Ben, those categories work for both images and color palettes.
Thanks for all the hardwork you guys put into Mailchimp. I love the service.
