1-Minute Video Tutorials in MailChimp

People want answers fast. They don’t want to read long knowledge base articles, and they don’t want to wait on the phone for someone to pick up.

So we’ve placed little video tutorials throughout MailChimp’s interface. The pop-up videos are tiny (most are about one-minute, and the longest is three). It’s a super quick way to learn how to use MailChimp without leaving your workflow.

My co-worker Dan calls this "beer can usability" (the idea that you should be able to use the product while holding a beer in one hand). Ahem, not that we advocate emailing under the influence. We’ll have a talk with Dan.

Anyway, if you’re a MailChimp customer, look for the little "show me" video icon that’s peppered around the new interface. There’s an icon for each main top navigation tab, and there are little icons here and there. Click here if you’d like to see some videos now.
